Surely Darkness!

If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,"
Even the darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day
Darkness and light are alike to You.

Psalm 139:11-12

We live in world flooded with darkness. Sometimes it's the darkness of sin. Sometimes it's the darkness of confusion, of fear, of ignorance, of relationship problems, family problems. There are so many darknesses we face, and we don't know how to handle them. Why? Because we cannot see. We are thrown circumstances left and right that leave us in utter states of complete blackness, and we have no idea where to go or how to get out. The only thing we can do is wait on a light to guide us out.

That's where Father comes in.

We cannot lead ourselves blindly out of a pitch black cave. And often times, we're scared of the dark. We cannot move. We cannot act upon. We can do nothing. We're helpless and hopeless inside our black; inside our darkness. In a split second we can go from perfect daylight, seeing our paths, knowing our ways, to a blackness that allows not even sight an inch from our eyes; "And the light around me will be night."

When God looks upon us, He sees light. He sees completely though every darkness in every life. He does not see black. He is not ignorant as we are. He knows our future, unlike we do. He understands what is happening when we do not. We may be stuck in a blackness of ignorance, having no idea where our future is headed, where we are going, and petrified to even try and figure that out. But God is not stuck in that darkness with you! He is dwelling inside you, seeing out with perfect vision, light all around. He has the light. He knows what's ahead. There is nothing hidden from Him, even when everything seems to be hidden from us. We don't have to be afraid of this darkness, because our Father who sees us also sees the light, and sees what is to come, planning it with His own fingertips. Our God stays with us through that darkness, and then leads us into that light when it is time. There is no guess work with Father. There is no ignorance and blackness with Him He sees only light, and our futures, though they are as black as can be, are shining bright in our Father's eyes. And He has exactly what we need to get there.

Trust, trust, trust.

Darkness and light, ignorance and knowledge, are things that stand in relation to us; God sees equally in darkness as in light; and knows as perfectly, however man is enveloped in ignorance, as if all were intellectual brightness. What is to us hidden by darkness, or unknown through ignorance, is perfectly seen and known by God - Adam Clarke

Light Up Ahead by Further Seems Forever
www.myspace.com/fsf

take this heart of darkness
I give it up
and all the emptiness
you fill it up
the times that i feel nothing
you bring enough
so i can live for something
you lift me up!

and all these bad dreams
I wake up to the light
and when i can't see
I wake up to your eyes
wake me up

There's a light up ahead

It gets so complicated
when you live enough
turn into what you hated
you're breaking up
the times i feel like nothing
you bring enough
so i can live for something
you lift me up

and all these bad dreams
i wake up to the light
and when i can't see
i wake up to your eyes
wake me up

there's a light up ahead
